Ms Jemima Dorairaj

Ms Jemima Dorairaj is an accredited full-time Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at the South-Infirmary Victoria University Hospital and Cork University Hospital. 

Ms Dorairaj obtained her undergraduate medical degree at the National University of Ireland Galway. She subsequently completed her Basic and Higher Surgical Training in Plastic Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, and was awarded her FRCS (Plast). Ms Dorairaj also holds a postgraduate Medical Doctorate (MD) degree in Surgery for her work on breast cancer genetics at NUIG, which earned her numerous awards both nationally and internationally. In addition, she holds a Specialist Diploma in Lean Healthcare Management from the University of Limerick. 

Ms Dorairaj completed her subspecialty fellowship training in Breast Microsurgical Reconstruction at The Royal Marsden Hospital, London and St Andrews’s Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford, UK. She then completed an Oncological Reconstruction Fellowship at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne which focused on the multidisciplinary management of complex head and neck cancers and reconstruction. Whilst in Australia, she also undertook an Aesthetic Fellowship with the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery.

Ms Dorairaj is a member of the Irish Association of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
