Mission Statement

We the nurses aim to provide family centred care,  an individualistic approach providing confidentiality, quality of care ,safety and health promotion as children travel through their hospital experience.’

Department Profile

This is a 14 bedded unit for children located in the South Infirmary side of the hospital.

Currently we specialise in Ear, Nose and Throat surgery, Plastics, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Dental and General Surgery and Dermatology.

This will soon include Childrens Orthopaedic surgery.

Location

At the main doors of the South Infirmary walk in past Main Reception. Follow the corridor and go past the shop.

Walk up the stairs on the left hand side. At top of stairs turn right and you can follow signage to our Childrens Ward.

Team

Our team includes Nursing Staff, Medical /Surgical Staff, Audiology, ENT , Catering , Household.
