The mission of the Planning, Development & Strategy Department is to continue to give the primacy of the patient the highest priority with the aim of delivering an equitable, accessible health service and improved health outcomes for the community we serve.

Department Description

This department is responsible for developing clinical specialities with a key strategic focus, with the aim of delivering quality patient care in an efficient, effective and equitable manner.

Clinical Services are planned through this department in close liaison with Consultant Medical Staff.

There is also an operational remit attached to the department, including the management of Inpatient and Outpatient activity, as in throughput, encompassing all clinical services, the Admissions Department, all Outpatient services and Cardiology Services.

Location

Victoria complex; first floor above the Victoria Outpatient Department.

8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (lunch: 1.00pm - 2.00pm)
