Hand Therapy/ Plastics Service

The hand therapy and plastic service is dedicated to delivering evidence based practice treatments for individuals undergoing elective or traumatic upper limb procedures i.e. tendon and nerve lacerations, carpal tunnel decompression, and trigger finger release etc.

The team works in collaboration with all relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team in order to optimise recovery and function.

Our aim is to facilitate transition from guided structured rehabilitation towards self-independence with activities of daily living.

This service can be accessed by referral from South Infirmary University Hospital Consultants only.
